I asked this on the WBF but not much response, so thought I would ask Amir his thoughts on this speaker? This one has six" woofers but their also an 8" version. I think it was designed for the Japanese market, and now are trying to get rid of overstock. Amir any guesses how this speaker should sound?

The TS8000 seems way too inexpensive to be a Revel...39,000 JPY (each) = $354 (each). That's pretty budget oriented, as opposed to Revel pricing.

If you are looking for some of the Revel "magic" without spending a bundle I can suggest Revel Concerta F12's Floor standers that were designed with the Harman testing. An older design released in 2006 and made until 2015 when it was replaced. Depending upon particulars you can find them on ebay or some of the audiomarts for $550-$700/pr. You might do better if lucky. I happened upon a pair made the final month of production.

I purchased some 2nd hand for my video system, and was very surprised at how good they were. Had I known all these years ago I know plenty of more expensive speakers that don't compete well with these. I use them as the front speakers with JBL 305s for center and surround. I also use them for casual stereo music listening. One very nice thing is they are quite efficient and play nicely with not all that much power behind them.

You can read these two reviews and see the measurements and see they in general have many of the nice characteristics of the more expensive Revels. Good response with a controlled even off axis response.

Of course these you are looking at might be better for all I know. They were apparently available from at least 2008.

My serious speakers are Soundlabs, and while these don't sound like those I am pretty picky. These are rather satisfying to me.
