l found it impressive, how much information old JBL user manuals had.

Incredible. Modern speakers might come with a typical "do not plug 220V into speaker connectors" thing and that's it.

This L65 user manual has a very interesting way of explaining how you could use the two pots to adjust mid and tweeter and they even explained why they existed in the first place.

It also explains how to remove the drivers if you need to repair them.

Very interesting read.

True. These days it seems to have become normalised that you have to go on line and download the manual, if there even is one. For all products, not just speakers.

And like you say it has little information other than 'Do not immerse product in water' and similar redundant advice.
