Unfortunately I'm not a potential customer; but curious which speakers he chose for replacement and why?

Same here...However I would bet that I'll see them as a downgrade, personally.

(I would also put money on WAF and/or new accommodation size having something to do with the change myself!)

Interesting. Although, the JBL M2 is way superior in terms of sub-bass THD and also its (up to ~12 kHz) wider horizontal directivity is generally more favourable.

After room-EQ I doubt, that C8C + BX8C can really be considered an upgrade. If JBL M2 customer, maybe better wait for the future @AsciLab all-Purifi version for a (likely more) meaningful upgrade. Unless there are different reasons for change of speakers.

Actually the customer is interested in the all Purifi version.

The extent of the paint loss, the customer has been using two MiniDSP units for crossover duties which are also available.

Just looked up the price of those things new. I guess I am also not in the target customer set.

They are up on Ebay I imagine the chap would accept less than the advertised price in a direct sale.

Wow. At a significant discount from new. Anyone with budget in the mid thousands should take a look. Search I used was "JBL M2 reference monitor" and they came up as 6th item listed.
