I was surprised that the M2 waveguide has been used with drivers as different as the 18Sound ND4015Be. https://www.audiosciencereview.com/...ence-master-monitor-review.26051/post-2199917 I can't deduce the distortion performance from those measurements but would you say that if a 3" diaphragm 18Sound Be or a 4" diaphragm JBL 2450Be, 2451Be or 2452Be were used with the M2 how much would the required throat adapters detract from overall performance? Otherwise, how much might the Be diaphragms allow the M2 to rival the performance of the 4367 for music?Sometime ago a couple of friends i did a comaprison with my M2s. We had a rotating chair and so we could turnaround easy. Then we controled the music with Roon, so we could easily paus the other setup when turning around.
The systems where level matched and had the same bass curve, so as good as we could do it in this setup.
Both systems is crazy good, but we could all agree that the 4367 with 475ND was our choice for music
The conclusion was that much of it comes from the lower part of the CD, the 4367 have a crossover at 700hz and M2 is original at aprox 800hz.
But it also sounds a bit moore smother/warmer up top, even if the freq after eq is really close.
Also the 2216ND doesnt have to be stretched that high and problably something to do with the bigger WG as well.
Really fun experience.
Also, given the the M2's vertical coverage does it have noticeably better vertical off-axis response when you're standing up at about what distance away?
