So I got my ZD3 and what a difference in sound..no more noise like you guys said....ahh...sooooooo nice..
SO in my room I did the text Kali Audio in-8V'2 + Jbl 306 running off the ZD3....all speakers are about 4 feet way in front, 5 feet in the back. Volume is way more than enough.
Only problem left is trying to find out why Equalizer APO isn't working... But I did use the eqmac through the USB adapter and just the tiniest bass boost in the eq can make a massive difference
especially since the Kali's can feel a bit light at times, dubstep/electronica with the tiniest bit of EQ is just WOW.I tested it with Wakaan on YouTube,just 10/10 fun. And I can finally use this with my PC for gaming!! No more horrible GPU noise.
It's heaven..It's like bootleg surround sound for movies but it honestly sounds like the rears are actually setup in a Dolby surround sound fashion. I got that bubble of sound, its sound all
around..just beautiful.Right now I have the Kali's as fronts..gonna try JBLS next since I like the warmer vocals..wanna see if it makes a difference.and I do have to play around with placement more since its bootleg surround it can cause the voices to sound like its in the middle left and right side at times, but that only happens once in a while.
The ONLY thing I don't like is that now I can see how the Kali's highs are a bit more colder/harsher.. and the JBL's do ruin the quickness of the Kali bass but other than that..oh man..
its fun.. My parents got the Sonos arc ultra with the works.. my nephews heard these in my room, and the first thing the older one yelled is "WOW IT"S JUST LIKE THE MOVIE THEATERS!!!"
which brought a big smile to their ears..they wondered where I was hiding my sub lol....I was like..theres no sub..thats the bass from the speakers.. I even tried those 8d audio songs that people modify..they are usually annoying and garbage sounding but they are a great way to show off and test the placement of everything.
When my Anehdonia isn't ruling over me like today I'm just carving in my room listening to music and its so calming..Magic City Hippies is a nice relaxing group for wood carving.
I know you're supposed to enjoy music, but I can't lie, when songs are compressed to shit with no dynamics it sucks..like the older Red Hot Chili Peppers..I heard Rick Rubin say in an interview he doesn't give a shit about mastering or any of that which kinda sucks.. amazing sound makes a sound amazing, Going from RHCP - Under the Bridge to Bahamas -Lost in light is a massive difference in how everything sounds. I would have loved to hear some of these RHCP classics with some love into their sound..given to all their drug use I would have thought bands like that would have amazing sounding albums,
