Price starting with 4 or 5? :(

This sort of thing is a bit triggering. They call it a "Studio Monitor" but it's unlikely you will ever see these deployed in professional recording studios. They will only be marketed to consumers.

It is nice that their driver R&D is ongoing, and finding its way into multiple products.

There's still a lot of love being shown to the 4425, 4430 & 4435 models, which were state of the art in the 80s. They were actually deployed in professional studios. But that business has changed so much. This new model feels to me like a revamp of the 4430.

Studio monitor because… Fill in whatever you like just use a lot of words like heritage, legacy, innovation, natural, upgraded, sophisticated or advanced, etc(end of thinking capacity).

"The 4369 remains true to JBL’s signature Studio Monitor aesthetic..." pretty much nails it. For the purposes of marketecture, it's a form factor.

biased capacitors …

Considering how refined the 4367 already is, I’m sure the 4369 will sound excellent as well.
The sonic changes are probably minor, but it seems the driver is newly developed.
I like how the new design eliminates the need for stands and highlights the wood finish — it looks great in both proportion and presence.
The only downside is that the price is likely to be significantly higher.

Looks like a dressed up M2, without the amps ..likely is, .. They have to sell you some ML amplifiers after all..

Peace.

Secret/unknown drivers with unknown differences from regular 2216 d2430.
W600 x H1050 mm judging by the photo.
With such a width of the case, it would be possible to lower the crossover frequency if the D2830 allows it

The 2830 is the same driver as 2430 aka D2. We had a chat with the technician from Harman at the Munich show when they launched te Summit series that uses the same driver. The 2430 is on the edge when it comes to lower XO is these designs. They don't really like to play that low (confirmed by designer). And the width of the WG is also a limitation. The M2 WG provides good horn load down to about 850Hz and the 4367 WG can go down to about 700Hz (with a 4" driver) due to the wider shape. The 2216 woofer in M2 used DSP to compensate for the rising rate and inevitable thinner bass resulting from the lighter cone needed to make a two-way unit. Hence the 2216-1 used in the 4367 has a coating on the rear of the cone to improve bass in a passive system and a stronger motor to compensate. I have no idea what the difference is between 2216 and 2219, is but the construction description is more or less identical. The 4369 appears wider with the wider angled sides but the baffle looks similar. It is indeed taller which is good as the 4367 needs stand to bring them up to listening height. Big difference. To bad they did not go for a large format (ie 4") driver but they probably did not want to cannibalize on the K2's. We are running an active DSP version of the 4367 using the DSP filter topology from the M2 and similar compression drivers to K2S9900 which turned out to be a sweet combination. We call them the 4367M for "Modificata".

Boi, this looks like the ones that created rock legends, even the 43xx naming matches it.
Unlike the parents is tall though, broad, old ones were easier to mount high.

Judging by the smiles at the show some good chest-pounding was in order there.

Colleagues, two questions:
has anyone seen a data sheet on the 69?
I'm curious if we'll see a refresh on the 49. I wonder why the '49 has such a high crossover point.

No idea how the 4367 sold worldwide, but over these parts, it's an effin' TRAGEDY that the retro looks and large bass-mid driver basically prevented much if any interest, as the higher end purchasers around these parts tend to be older newly retired fellas with wives who HATE big-box speakers like these. The price isn't really high enough in the 4367 to be fully accepted (double would be about right, sadly). I loved what I heard from them, however and I think @Mart68 does too?

These new ones will be priced much higher I suspect, but they're HUGE judging by the pic, so out of it for these parts. No doubt they'll sound superb set up in rooms able to take their physical size (I worry about the ports though, but no doubt those fears are groundless).

Can we hope these will one day be properly third party tested to 'our' standards?

I have heard the 4367 several times, that’s why I bought the JBL M2. If you can ignore the damn looks the 4367 is one of the few speakers that have something special about the sound. And that I have ever wanted to own, other two are the Magico M6 and the KEF Blade One Meta(that I currently own).

The new one certainly looks extremely large… Scared to think about the price…

Adapted to sofa height?

Scared of the weight, as well. These are going to be heavy.

Hi,

Seems that price is 20000 Euros:

It was told to my girlfriend (who is a longtime JBL customer) that the 4369 is a blend of the 4367 and the M2 and that there will be an active and passive version. How much of that should be seens as marketing talk I don't know, but that is what the salesman had to say. They did try to sell her the device (as she already has a pair of 4367 and she "should upgrade". They also tried to talk her out of her beloved Apollon Purifi eigentakt amps in favor of ML and against the use of MiniDSP and dirac...

But my girlfriend is not stupid, and very suspicious to every salesman (especially in audio) so i don't worry...

Now we have a rough idea on what the price will be, quite reasonable I guess, I was worried it might be something like 40K... Indeed it looks like the 30y old child of the M2 and the 4367, keen on sports and fan of NFL :) The 4367 had soooome WAF, at least my wife did not burst in flames when we went to Copenhagen and we had a shoot out with my beloved Dynaudio C1(sounded like a small Radio Shack device next to the 4367), that is how much better it sounded. And the C1 was in rosewood, I want one just for the looks of it...
