Kinda perfect mellow jazz for a cold January Sunday:

Ike Quebec - The Complete Blue Note 45 Sessions (Remastered 2025)

Recorded between 1959 and 1962, recently reissued by Blue Note on vinyl...

Grapelli made me think of Michel Petrucciani who made me think of this genius remix by the legendary Matthew Herbert of Petrucciani's caravan. I think you can still categorize this as jazz. Enjoy.

Excerpt from the album ''blue note revisited''.

I’ve taken a break from my usual diet of nonstop Hiromi and have been getting back into Pat Metheny’s Imaginary Day. The album has several strong tracks, but I think the title track is the most revelatory.

Here’s a nice live version. Listened to great effect using this technique from Audiophile Style, which in my view makes up for a great number of subjectivist sins.

This has just popped up on shuffle play from my local files. Absolutely sublime!, IMHO like...

Hey Ralph, we appreciate your inputs, it would be great if you could find a way to share direct links (YT, Spotify...) of your findings because right now, i need to zoom in on your pics then open an app and write down the artist and song, that's a bit tedious. Cheers

I play from the Qobuz app mostly, so links are a bit of a PITA for me, too. If you want to learn about jazz, I suggest browsing a thread over on AK that's been running for 20 years. Just don't go there for audio advice, lol.
