William "Wild Bill" Davidson (born 1906) teamed up for this rollicking 6:47 minute live recorded irresistible toe-tapping song Oh, Baby! with no lyrics except for the musicians getting quite animated.

American pianist Connie Han. Very agile and comfortable with dissonant keys. Studied at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts but sounds like she studied at a top music conservatory. It will be fun to hear her evolve.

I searched and did not find on ASR - has her music been mentioned?

First release Richard Rogers Songbook, age 19:

Nobody:
Geddy Lee: "I think her name's Anika..."
It's a bit early for me to judge her from these (extraordinary, nevertheless) performances; but, say... the girl has talent.
I would have chosen Gavin Harrison, but I am aware that's me.
Good luck, Anika... and see you there, where some already think you belong.

I've been a fan of some Polish jazz musicians, particularly of Anna Maria Jopek, but I had not realized how extensive the Polish jazz universe is, nor how far back its history stretched, until I watched the following episode, released today on YT, of "The Pulse of Culture" feature which appears regularly on the TV broadcaster TVP WORLD. It covers the Polish Jazz Festival currently ongoing in London, then dives deeper into the Polish jazz scene past and present.

Electric contrabass guitar virtuoso Anthony Jackson passed recently (see the 'Celebrity RIP Thread'). Try these wonderful big band albums he did with pianist Michel Camilo. All big band needs a bottom-end like this!. RIP Anthony.
