This is more contemporary. A great guitarist and composer from Philadelphia, USA, Kurt Rosenwinkel.

 
Swingin' in the tradition, a great guitarist (and composer too!) from New York City, Pete Bernstein. This is "Chant" written by Duke Pearson.

Too bad about Benny Golson the composer on original Killer Joe, although Quincy's 1969 take is very good. I go back and forth about which I like more because Art Farmer plays so well on the 1960 Jazztet version. RIP Benny
