My kitchen or my listening room.

Yeah, it's me. If you can get there in person that would be better, I think. Yes, I know Saturdays are precious.

Will this be recorded and made available afterwards ?
It is around midnight here (Saturday 10 PM to Sunday 1 AM)

That is intended. The AES web site, however, is in a state of apparently permanent flux, or something much like "flux".

What is the latest date/time where one can put in their request to join the zoom ?
3 days or so ?

I had planned to attend but plans changed. Hoping slides will be available after the meeting(?)

I would have loved to participate, but the registration link seems to state that all access is now "closed."

@j_j,
Thank you for your Zoom presentation on "Audio Signals vs. the Ear".
Having missed the pre-intermission half of your discussion, I'd be much interested if you can share with us the transcript, slides and video links, for review

Would you be able to expand on your statement about 'what you cannot hear in mono, you can in stereo''?

I heard just the first few slides before having to leave. It sounded like a great talk! They recording should be available through the Section's website "at some future date". Hoping not too far in the future.

It sounded like a great talk!
I especially liked this slide:

Simple terms even I can relate to.

And... if I got it right the remark was mostly about perceptual encoding issues.

The talk mostly went way over my head but was still enlightening.
What really helped were the examples how aspects panned out in real life situations.

Gonna have to watch it again, or at least parts of it, when the talk is posted online.

Thanks for the talk.... interestingly a lot of well known names popped up in the list with attendees.

@j_j on the last question that was asked here's what I wrote about that particular subject.
No cure for me either but management in my particular case helps.

The link (which I will not post) to other talks is a treasure trove I will visit in the days to come.

At the end of @j_j's presentation (during the Q&A), the conversation veered to the topic of tinnitus.

My take was that there have been some new developments and possible findings that some said have relieved the severity of their tinnitus (if I was able to follow the conversation correctly). I recall that @amirm was going to be part of some Lenire Tinnitus Treatment procedures but I am not sure what the results/outcome of them were. :(

It did not work. Waste of thousands of dollars and three months of hour long exercise. I should have listened to the testimonials in Europe with same outcome.

I did not see a closure at the end of your thread (at page 14).
:facepalm:Should there be?

Somewhere, sometime, the slides and recording should appear.

I said "sometimes what you can''t hear in mono can be heard in binaural".

Any update for ASR members that missed your talk?
