Because why not, right?

Japanese rock bands are awesome. How that little island can have so much cool stuff going on, I have no idea.

But here goes, first out is a band that has become probably my favorite current math rock act. Tricot.

Nice one viv, Iv got a few albums I like that came directly from your ( disturbing :D) Japanese obsession.. so thanks mate:)

Next up is more of an indie rock thing, Gesu No Kiwami Otome. Awesome bassplayer, and the girl on keyboards sure knows what she's doing too.

The question is, is it an obsession or is it a fetish? :p

Some harder stuff (including a crossdressing bassist/vocalist), 88 Kasyo Junrei.

No idea what these girls call themselves (because I haven't bothered to copy/paste their name in Google translate yet), but I know they are awesome.

Fuyusuruneko.

More math rock, Paranoid Void.

Zekkei Kujira.

I don't think these girls have released anything at all, but those vocal harmonies are on point! Rick Rack.

Hehe, this is fun. Because music matters. "Sound quality" is for audiophools.

Dang, I love Tricot.

The only time I ever heard this genre was when I was into import gaming with the pcengine

TBH I didn't have an actual pcengine but a Turbocd unit with import OS so that import games could be played. Way ahead of its time with game music and voice acting on rpg's and the import shooters were amazing.
