Ah, long ago, 1969, HeathKit AS-48 pair, JBL 14" lo 2" high elements, front port, ??? crossover, with their AR-15 receiver (upper or lower?)

Suspension cracked in the mid-80s, repaired sounded terrible, they went in the garbage in mid-90s. Nice looking cabinets.

I've had nothing good since. With. my hearing aids, 200-3000 range so it matters little.

I'm not going to disclose silly stuff like Bluetooth speakers for my golf cart.
Good point, I wouldn't have either
Instead of making these list posts, how about we do polls? @carewser
Except there have been dozens (if not hundreds) of speaker manufacturers over the years and I wouldn't even know where to begin making that list. Just to give you an idea of how comprehensive the list would have to be, i've been into speakers for ~20 years and until 5 minutes ago had never even heard of "meadowlark" speakers yet a few people here have owned them

This post clearly illustrates what a different income bracket i'm in than most of you as the most expensive speakers i've ever owned are less than what LTig uses for his desktop system

This is true. Actually I bought them for vacation so I can listen to good sound when on travel. Desktop use was second choice ;).

I bought them together with a Pelican case a few days before vacation and my wife declared me as insane when she saw what was in the case. Well, guess who listened 4 hours in a row to the complete Lohengrin on a rainy day in a rented cabin in Norway ...

Hi Xulonn,

I'm curious: Which Meadowlark speakers did you own, and what did you think of them?

(I had the Meadowlark Heron-i in my room for quite a while and later a small Meadowlark monitor which I quite liked).

I had the Swifts - their smallest floorstanders - whcih I used in my apartment's tiny 2nd bedroom that I used for an office. They were quite amazing for their size.

Cool! I remember those!

After the Herons (as I remember I had them for a review that never happened...Meadowlark tanked before the review was finished if I remember properly)...I later owned the Meadowlark Swallow bookshelf monitors. I think they were out around the same time as the swifts.

I dunno that they were exactly flat in frequency response, but my god did those things "disappear" and throw a soundstage like few speakers I've ever heard!

I was just wondering if you liked the Velodyne's sound when you did have it.
Missed that .
Yea I did at the time, over 20 years ago. I don’t recall much other than it was huge 18”.
Wish I could have more for you

- WHD (old German company)
- B&W CM1 + B&W PV1 (I expected to get the Abbey Road sound at home but this was not the case ;))
- ATC SCM11 (still in my bed room)
- ATC SCM40 (sold them in favor of the SCM11s)
- Genelec 8330 + 7350 (in my home office)
- Geithain RL 901K (in my living room - best speaker I have listened to so far, the cardioid design makes placement easy)
