It's Glastonbury time again

My brother-in-law is from England. We go to see them over July 4 in Texas.

He plays Glastonbury recordings (and soccer) at the lake house via a BBC subscription.

I was watching one, somebody doing David Bowie covers, and remarked it was good.

He then informed me that it WAS David.

Oh. Yeah.

The rest of the groups on the set I had no clue who they were (or are).

I saw a Bowie show during the Diamond Dogs period here in Tampa in 1974.

The truck carrying much of the scenery and costumes had run off the road into a swamp, they performed the show in their "street" clothes.

Currently listening to Fontaines D.C. on now :D

I’m 100db+ in my living room for the genuine festival experience, minus the porta loos obviously, but seeing as I have spms/no bowel control, and I had a home made phall curry 3 hours ago there’s a possible chance of landing in the shit at some point ;)

I saw him during his electronica phase when he was touring with Nine Inch Nails. Not what I would call the peak of his career. IIRC the set and costumes would have been better off in a swamp.

I fairly often play various Glastonbury videos. Some are quite good, some are good of people I had not heard of before at those times. If I were in that part of the world, would want to make it at least once.

Also like Isle of Wight festival videos, but that was just finished for 2024.
