I feel like Strayans should make a childrens programme called Crazy Nature, where films are shown of various people meeting their end at the hands of nature, with subtly mocking running commentary.

It was the 1960s, people were made of sterner stuff back then - those that weren't perished quickly.

In the '60s almost nobody worked out, the beer and pot was about as strong as pencil shavings soaked in warm water, and "damn" was considered strong language on TV. People weren't tougher, they were just careless and tort lawyers weren't as prevalent. The ones that did survive reckless behavior like this, yes, had to be hardy by nature, but that doesn't mean the average person was anything special, I guess they just died.
