Is this front l r and center combo good

The Control 25 1L is a bit of a strange pairing with the 4309. What made you choose that for the center? Do you not have room for a third 4309?

I believe you should have the exact center as you do left / right.

Anything will work, but matching dispersion, crossover points, etc, work better.

i also think of pick up three unit of jbl control 28 1l as front l r and center
but that is out budget
i only afford to buy one more speaker
the price of 251l is nasty cheap
jbl ls center has similar voice with 4309 but that is too pricy

i can't buy a single uniit 4309 but with two unit

i see some user has different brand center with front l and r
that is more risk than same brand jbl speaker but not same series model speaker

You and your friend sound different.

If you are the left and right speaker, do you think your friend (center speaker) will blend well ?

If you are going for a smooth front wall of sound, make sure the 3 are the same.

Many do not care, so they say use whatever.......

I find 3 cheap same speakers worked better than non matching speakers.

But, to each their own.
