Hello guys so i have got like the simplest iem setup which is:

IEMs: Truthear x Crinacle ZERO
DAC: Jcally JM12 but with flashed JA11 software enabling the equalizer with settings remembered in it
Player: Just my phone Xiamoi 14T
Source: Tidal so files are streamed in that high or ultra-high quality, forgot its name

So is there any obvious mistake to make it sound decent? I dot pursue great. I want you to tell me it is all medium-tier level and keep listening in peace. I do not want to fish a slight little improvement that i will not hear anyway, just want to eliminate if there is some cheap way to make it noticeably better, that i somehow missed.

Albo bonus pooints to fix my problem: when i plug my usb dac to my laptop usb i hear that pops and cracks, especially can hear it on these silent parts of the songs. I think it is not there when i listen using the same DAC but plugged in to my phone.

Oh yeah bonus number two: i think that better tips might make a difference, can anyone recommend some nice budget tips for these IEMs?

Thanks a lot guys, keep up the good work. That forum and it;s users is great.

The only way for better sound would be better IEMs or headphones.

Thanks a lot for your input. Does it mean that these IEMs are weak? Because the review (link at the bottom) actually praises these IEMs for being really good. Or does it mean that any changes in other parts of my setup will not matter, like another DAC, another player, another source? Just IEMs really in the end - is that your angle? What about IEMs tips - do You think they really mattter so much and i should experiment a little with different?

The difference that a well fitting IEM makes is so profound that it's not funny. The problem is, our ears are all different. What fits for me may not fit for you. And by "fit", I mean that the IEM has to sit comfortably in your pinna, and it is well sealed to the canal. Too big = poor fit, and it tries to fall off all the time. Smaller is generally better than "too big". All you need is a good set of tips and they won't fall out.

Re: tips. These make a huge difference as well, not only to the sound, but also comfort.

That Truthear Crinacle is a good IEM, but you need to try it on your ears and experiment with tips.

Absolutely not. I have the REDs and they are really good.

This. I own the Sennheiser HD800 and its sound is much wider (spacier) compared to the REDs or any other headphone.
