I am a musician and I look for detail and soundstage excellence in a speaker. I mix my own music on near field PMC Result 6.
I am looking for a new set of speakers for my casual listening room.(not near field that I use in my studio). Unfortunately there is no opportunity to compare speakers side by side.
I have listened to the LS50, R3 and ATC SCM11 side by side and preferred the SCM11. Although the LS50 had a great sound stage and sounded decent with a sub. Another dealer has the Revela 1 who states "no other speaker can compete in this price range". I listened to those they sound good yet it is difficult to tell with such a short listen and no other side by side comparison, worried the ribbon tweeter may be cause listener fatigue? The dealer also says I should get the accompanying stands because they make every speaker sound better?
Finally have been reading reviews on the Wharfedale Super Linton and this also seems like a great speaker. Any recommendations out there for those who have heard these speakers?

Better run far away from that dealer.

Super Linton for near field is not a great idea. They're firmly designed for mid/far field.

My post was not clear. I am not looking for near field speakers. I use the near field in my studio, the new pair will be for my living room.
