This is my first post. I have been trying to solve a hum (I think 50Hz) issue in my recordings for weeks now without success.
My audio chain is sE V7 dynamic mic --> Behringer Ultragain Pro --> Focusrite 2i2 gen 2 --> PC
Everything is on the same circuit (PC, monitors, pre-amp) and I am using balanced XLR cables. There is no noise through my monitors normally, only when playing back recordings.
I tried switching out the sE V7 with a Shure SM63LB dynamic mic and leaving everything exactly the same. To my surprise, the recording was clean with the Shure, but the hum was clearly present with the V7 (see attached screenshot from Audition).
So, is this normal or a faulty mic?
Thanks for your help!
