Is minidsp 2x4 still supported by gui software?

Hi,

Im contemplating buying a 2nd hand minidsp 2x4. I already have a ddrc. Does anybody here use a 2x4 and is it still supported by the device console gui software of minidsp?

Whenever i start that software, main menu, the screen opens with "choosr your device". Does that mean i can choose either my ddrc or a 2x4 as long as both are connected by usb?

Here is a quote I found from the support team at miniDSP on their Community Forum:

"No device console support for old 2x4 I'm afraid (too old to support new protocol). Only the older plugin."

The last plugins for this device were the MiniDSP_2wayAdv_115.zip, or the MiniDSP_2waySUBAdv_113.zip. These were released on January 7, 2021.
I would assume these are still available for purchase directly from miniDSP, but I do not know this for certain.

You might try creating an account by logging in at the miniDSP website and looking at the User Downloads under the Support tab. The 2x4 downloads are shown there.

Thank you! Its a no go then. EDIT: I just figured: as long as they still have a working GUI, even if its older, I guess its fine. That said, not sure of spending €100 on a 2nd hand 2x4 is worth it, when a new one is about € 230,-. Ill wait for a Flex Eight to surface on hifishark, or a 2x4hd. But thank you !
