Hey very new to audio and long story short i have a sony mhc-gt44 that i used to bluetooth my phone too which is no longer an option..most online opinion seems to point to getting the fosi bt30d. trying to research what would work best for me seems to give me more questions then answers

This is for the garage so it will be turned up reasonably loud every now and then and some good bass would be nice too..the two speakers are 150w rms and 6ohms and sub is the same.
the mhc-gt44 had a stk404-130s and stk403-130 and managed to get bearable sound and bass through the phones media player eq

was hoping to spend less than $100nzd but i understand cheap audio does not sound good

I don't know, but this maY require 5 or 3 channels of amplification with appropriate crossovers
Im not sure what you mean?
Ive attached pictures of the MHCgt44 if that helps

Yes, the BT30d looks suitable. It's a three-channel amplifier with a passive subwoofer output.

That's enough for these speakers. Some devices like your Sony had two amplifier channels per speaker and an active crossover.

my main goal is to get at the very least similar sound quality as the mhc-gt44..should have mentioned bluetooth capability is not required, I have a bluetooth receiver (KN319) that can attach through aux.
I understand the bt30d is capable of running the speakers but is there a cheaper option for my situation?

I haven't researched these products and am skeptical about crossovers in cheap 2.1 amplifiers. But for your purposes, they'll probably do.
The BT30d probably isn't the cheapest; here's a similar one (how similar?!)) for half the price:

There is but lower-end offerings kinda hit-or-miss and use 2 TPA3116/3118 instead of TPA3255. They are also bare boards without casing unlike Fosi. Here's an example. This board has a built-in high pass filter for the R/L speakers to better integration with the subwoofer. In my experience their outputs are sufficient for personal listening in a small-medium room.

Tripling the price will net you something like this. No high pass filter, but you get 2 TPA3255s, a Qualcomm bluetooth chipset and fan cooling.

While perusing Aliexpress for DIY oddities, I came across this rather neat plate amp.
The amplification is based on 2 TPA3221 chips. There are knobs to adjust the subwoofer crossover and volume.
The inputs are either RCA or BT via the Qualcomm QCC3084 (which supports all Apt-X codecs) and the PCM5102.
Theoretically, you can cut a hole in the back of the subwoofer and use this. It'll look far more elegant.
