Went to see my Primary Care Physician yesterday.

Max temp measured 102.8 around 3am

(I like measurements - and I subjectively felt bad too)

Since I had a fever I had to go back to my car and they would call.

They called, I talked

Then waited for a call back.

I suppose they figured I wasn't a Covid Zombie and agreed to see me.

BP -179 over something - whoa
(today 128/75) measured at home - that's about normal for me, elevated, but not a "treatable" level

Asked the Doctor what he thought of the Covid vaccine situation.

He said "I won't be taking it on day one".

Harmonie, when we Google the latest news on vaccines (the serious ones, not the Russian ones) we learn more and more how complex it is to develop an effective vaccine specifically for Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2). There's no miracle in pushing what cannot be pushed. I won't post any links because Google can do that for us.
And so far there is nothing serious coming up soon on that front.

Next year is our best bet, and betting on a vaccine in record time is like betting @ the Russian roulette in a New Jersey's abandoned casino.
My opinion of course, for what's worth.
I prefer to rely more on science, hard honest work, in real space and on solid analyses based in real time...not fake time. Because vaccines do require serious analyses and serious time. Pushing it is like bullying people around in drinking poisonous Koolaid.
Bonsoir @North_Sky

My point is simply, no need to speculate and I would rather wait till some real tendencies pop-up.

What seemed to be right 5 months ago seems a total heresy today. Look how many states changed their policy by 180°.
France did NOT recommend wearing masks (because there weren't any available) now we have to wear them in the street. Our British neighbours didn't take it the Covid seriously .. till their PM got it. See now, he is even more strict and wants the Pubs to close after hours for a new 6 months period. Your Southern neighbour's President ...

I tell my pals, do as you think and protect yourselves. I think that we have to rely on our own.

He said "I won't be taking it on day one".

I will wait much longer than day 1

Why though. From what I know high importance diplomatics/politicians will probably get it first as in you'd be lucky to get it sooner rather than later. If there ever is a vaccine in the future I'd assume it's been through proper procedures and tests. everyone will want one just for that feeling of safety.

Ok , I'll re-phrase:

I'll have it asap (day One) and put it in the fridge as long as time alllows.
I'll be taking it( injecting it) muuuucch later.

"Vaccine development is a long, complex process, often lasting 10-15 years and involving a combination of public and private involvement."

I would agree that they likely have better tools to analyze and create, leading to a shorter timeframe, but we aren't up to even one year yet..

1. They didn't recommend wearing masks back then for the simple reason that the priority was for doctors and nurses. There were not enough masks.
Now that there are enough they recommend wearing them, and highly recommended too. Masks are our best vaccine right now, along with social distancing, period.

2. Ray just said above that his own doctor wouldn't get vaccinated on day one, same for me. Because we all know why some people want to rush it, period.

3. Some leaders are so bunched up about the economy that they don't care if people live or die...they want to win for themselves no matter the cost of lives. That's why the CDC has recently changed their guidelines and make disappeared the better ones from previously. It's not for the good health of the people, it's for the good wealth of certain people, period. That wasn't their decision, we know who's decision it was...and that, is very very very bad...period.

Good evening to you too, stay safe, enjoy life, sleep good.

You just said it ... "assume". Assume doesn't cut it, assume is not science.
And feeling safe is only just a feeling, it won't give you a real orgasm ...
Way of speech.

Me: 171/107
The smoke of the last couple weeks didn't help me.
If I can get down to about 150/95 it'll be a heck of a good day.
Below that that'll be the day. I need the best Opera music...or Tango.

You're doing just fine today Ray.

There are two guesses:

"Yes" and "No"

You come across as smart enough to "do the right thing" (whichever that is) and mythological enough not to.

The classes of blood pressure medications include:
Yuck.

I remember you stating you have other health problems (but I don't remember the details)...

Anyway, take care.

Of course with a heart condition I take measures, and regular blood tests.
Coronavirus for me would be the end of it, period.
No more NorthSky (Bob). Thx Ray.

Back to immunity ...

And from The Washington Post ...

"On Monday morning, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention swiftly edited its Web page describing how the novel coronavirus spreads, removing recently added language saying it was “possible” that the virus spread via airborne transmission. The agency had posted information Friday suggesting the virus can transmit over a distance beyond six feet, suggesting that indoor ventilation is key to protection against its spread. Experts had been advancing that idea, and it had appeared that the agency had come around. But Monday, the CDC said an unreviewed draft had been published in error."
