Is Cardas hook up wire worth it? Other brands like or close to it for less work?

I suggest looking at car audio oriented brands for good affordable copper cable. I just bought a spool of 12awg zip cord by “KnuKonceptz” and it’s excellent. The stuff people often recommend like Canare 4s8 or 4s11 which have an extra outer insulator is not very flexible and doesn’t lay flat.

Good morning everyone. I found some wire I liked at home depot. So, Will this wire be okay to use for my speaker wire? Only 0.60 cents a foot. Here’s a picture of it. Thanks Jeff
Looks like solid copper cable. That isn’t super ideal as speaker wire. Better make sure to get flexible multi stranded cable.

That is single strand meant for in-wall home wiring. It will be too stiff to use in a reasonable way. Think of a coat hanger :) While it will work, you won't be happy with it.

I agree with the others that multi-strand is better for flexibility. Since you need two lengths of those, more like $1.20/ft to compare to speaker wire/zip cord, too. 10g is likely overkill, too, but what length of cable do you need?
