In a constantly changing world, we've grown up using brands as a mark of quality and reassurance. Naturally, canny businesspeople clued into this quite early. I wanted to record a list of brands and owners, just for kicks, but also so people understand the giant octopus of interrelated entities that give birth to the products we love (or hate, really). If anyone wants to add to the list, corrections, feel free!
This is a work in progress.
International Audio Group
Location: Shenzhen, China
Wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Audio_Group
Brands:
-------

Location: Indianapolis, USA/Florida, USA
Wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voxx_International
Brands:
-------
Music Group/Music Tribe/MUS!C (it's just Behringer, ok)
Location: DE/CH/PH, wherever Uli Behringer is in the world at any given moment in time

Brands:
The Grande Holdings
Location: Hong Kong
Wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grande_Holdings
Note: this is an opaque one! Following the GFC, AKAI nearly collapsed and the provisional owner, Christopher Ho, was found guilty by regulators in multiple jurisdictions of improper transactions, including the asset stripping of AKAI and Singer Sewing Machines. Somehow, all the AKAI holdings brands ended up in "The Grande Holdings" by magic. Ho and the board had to pay nearly $800m USD in fines. The SEC report is nuts. Christopher Ho is still the majority shareholder.
