Thank you, Amir. I wonder where Blizzard has gone? He has been banned from WBF. He's not here, is he?

I'm glad to see Michael (dallasjustice) here ... he's been very helpful to me on Computer Audiophile. Unfortunately, looks as if Blizzard has been banned from there as well :\

He is. His alias is Mivera here. A number of members from WBF have different aliases here.

Have I been banned too? I'm still hoping for my first banishment. I haven't been very successful so far.

Welcome Keith! I hope Uli can answer your setup questions with greater detail than I could.

I anticipate you'll find that you can have the playback setup you wish. The only change will be that you must use a pro multichannel DAC/ADC for playing and recording your logsweep. Something like a prism Titan or Lynx Hilo are ideal, IME.

Wow, the whole gang is here. Mike, I will start a separate thread about what I am doing with my system.

Bob, I know that Amir is a bit of a cook anyway. He wrote a useful app for BBQ which I still use. These days most of my time is either taken up by work, or by ship modelling.

As for WBF, I don't intend to get myself banned from there. I know what some of you think of Steve, but I happen to like him. And besides, I still have a foot in the subjectivist camp - I can't always explain why I think something sounds better, but it sounds better to me. So I do it. My money, my system :)

Welcome Keith. I'd like to see your Acourate adventures in a thread here. Frankly I find using Yahoo Groups to be cumbersome, especially as someone that only registered with the group recently so I don't have all the past exchanges in Gmail.

I decided to join, after holding off initially, as I'm not a science guy. As such, you won't be seeing me post much in those areas, although I actually read quite a bit of it. I just don't have the knowledge to participate in them. However....I can smell music threads a mile away and that's what really interests me. There are also some members here, who I don't see in some other forums any longer, but whom I've always enjoyed conversing with, and have learned from. And it's one of the main reasons I've joined today.

For as long as I can remember, music is what made me become somewhat of an audiophile. It is what drives me more than anything. I can enjoy music on the crappiest of systems, but I also truly appreciate good sound, which is why I've tried to put together a nice little system within my means. I'm 90% vinyl and 10% digital.

My music interests are mostly Rock, Blues & R&B/Soul, with a sprinkling of Jazz and Classical. I'm also a big fan of LIVE recordings, especially acoustic live.

That's it. I'm a pretty basic person, so there isn't much more I can add.

Thanks Amir and Thomas!

I'll do my best to try and keep the music discussions active. I've always looked at various fora this way....if you cant really get into the music, what's the gear for? I know...a bit out of context, but I'm sure you get the point.

Johnny, good to see you here - gets rather quiet at times, always helps to add a bit more diversity ... ;).

A refreshing thing about this forum is we know its what you like not what you spend that amounts to our enjoyment of audio. Here, better does not mean more expensive, it means better to you or me. Welcome.
