This is very, very, very bad. Significant drop in frequency response, very significant crosstalk problems.
i think @Balle Clorin had a tonar he? id really like to see one of these under the scope. i dont think jico publishes the tip dimensions for the hyper ellipticals.Shure V15 IV + JICO HE stylus
This stylus was reported to have approximately 113 hours of play time.
Distortion is higher than I expected. Crosstalk on the inner track is interesting where those two blips appear. I wonder what's causing that.
I thought there was another non-SAS HE measurement on here, but I can't find it.

Measure it another record and you get a different result. There's a major problem with crosstalk between channels. Your stylus setting is wrong, or your stylus is bad.
First, set the azimuth correctly.
On a Technics turntable with a standard headshell, getting the azimuth correct is a pain: minimal adjustments, measurement, minimal adjustments, measurement. After 6-8 tries, it's finally set correctly
The azimuth adjustment on this turntable is a rubbish solutionIt's a technically outdated design, very imprecise. The manufacturer should be ashamed of offering something like this in the 21st century.

If the stylus isn't faulty, worn, or in poor condition, it can usually be adjusted to achieve equal crosstalk between the channels. However, this requires numerous tests and measurements, and is very tedious and time-consuming.Measure it another record and you get a different result.
Yes for one record only. And need to include VTA as well.If the stylus isn't faulty, worn, or in poor condition, it can usually be adjusted to achieve equal crosstalk between the channels. However, this requires numerous tests and measurements, and is very tedious and time-consuming.
What's the alternative? Don't set it at all, or leave it set incorrectly?Yes for one record only.
An average. What's the alternative? Don't set it at all, or leave it set incorrectly?

The Tonar HE for Shure V15-IV has a SRA of 85 or something so I returned it, the replacements had same problemi think @Balle Clorin had a tonar he? id really like to see one of these under the scope. i dont think jico publishes the tip dimensions for the hyper ellipticals.
I bought one of these, mostly to check on stylus wear. Works just fine for that and you can take pictures. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08G4Y6C65?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1Shure V15 type III with Jico VN35HE stylus
Here's a result from a new Jico hyper-elliptical stylus for the Shure V15 type III cartridge. Distortion levels look decent to me, but this is using a CBS STR-100 test record, so it's not an apples-to-apples comparison to the other stylus (which is also for a type IV cartridge). Take it for what it's worth.
I don't have a microscope to photograph the stylus tip, but if someone can recommend a good one that's not too expensive, I'd consider buying one.

I picked up a microscope and took some photos of the Jico V35HE stylus. I'm still learning how to use it, so apologies if the images aren't great. All I can tell for sure is that it's a bonded stylus.Shure V15 type III with Jico VN35HE stylus

JICO does not list that what I can see, so this is a previous model?I picked up a microscope and took some photos of the Jico V35HE stylus. I'm still learning how to use it, so apologies if the images aren't great. All I can tell for sure is that it's a bonded stylus.

This is the model. I ordered it from Amazon, not Jico. I don't see a hyperelliptical model on Jico's website right now. I think they make certain models for US export that they don't sell from their Japanese webshop. I know they also make models specifically for the Canadian market. Curiously, this model has "Jico jp" (not US as pictured on the listing) imprinted on the brass insert, indicating it was not made for export. Maybe it is an older model; it's hard to say. It gets confusing.JICO does not list that what I can see, so this is a previous model?
