Introducing Denotiva DIY speakers!

I'm not technically sound enough to take that role yet. I can help logistically in setting up vendors for you or for a potential group build to the community members. @TimVG or @617 might be the right persons, since they have contributed heavily to the r1 passive crossover.
Best of luck on your house sale. I'm also inclined to wait for you to free up and take this on again :).

Ok, but just to clarify, @ctrl was the major designer for Directiva r1 and @TimVG contributed significantly to r2. Both have had personal obligations that have limited their time to contribute further here.

Am realistic that ASR designs are not the only option, and we are getting towards more affordable commercial options that are well designed too. What are you seeking that a Ascend, JBL or AsciLab speaker does not offer? Btw, Heissmann offers performant DIY speakers with the Seas DXT that are less expensive than Directiva r1 as well.

Most of those options either require a sub woofer or are in the >$1000 range. Denotiva at almost half that cost and with the easy Denovo cabinet design will be an attractive alternative IMHO

I see a lot of DIY bookshelf and subwoofer projects. Not so many full-frequency towers. Am I imagining that or is there a reason?
