That's a intriguing piece of gear. Not much in the signal path at all.
They are made by Western Electric in Rossville Georgia. The Western Electric monoblock is made by Canary Audio and those are Delrin not Teflon. It’s interesting because Delrin is worse for heat, but I believe the idea is that it reduces microphonics.
Like all tubes, it is more for collectible anachronism, but my understanding is that Canary Audio and McIntosh are two of the most reliable brands for tubes amps.
It's very interesting in that their solution was to use a vertical PCB with the DC power supply smoothing caps onboard for best response and lower distortion.
yes, when I opened it it made me smile, but everything is wired in the air and has no cards!!That's a intriguing piece of gear. Not much in the signal path at all.
That looks like a Studer Revox integrated amplifier that I service decades ago. Gorgeous layout and stuff.
Very well built, has an external power supply, but the crazy thing is that the remote has a separate external power supply with a small connector located on the back….I had never seen anything like it.That looks like a Studer Revox integrated amplifier that I service decades ago.
