Purité Audio's first pair of Dutch&Dutch's 8C monitors arrive this week, I was discussing whether sub woofers would be a useful addition?

Yes.. and even handed re his opinion of di and monopole dispersion, Dutch& Dutch already make a sub for their 15 series, I think they might be on the large side for domestic experiments though.

"What I like about the multisub solution, is that you it allows you to actually cancel modes. The bass becomes even tighter and improves throughout the room. It is my preferred solution in terms of sound quality, but a lot less practical than just having two speakers."

Exactly what we were saying in the Kii vs D&D thread where you argued, and more

Why? Remember the Kii's are flat at 19Hz I can show you my in room measurements ,they are not like your little AVis that need a sub because they roll off at 60Hz.
I suppose if you wanted to play much louder than is sensible for your health ,also thee Kii's has a beautiful polar plot ,you intended to add a traditional 'spray it around the room' sub ?

20Hz at -3dB , 'small drivers can't do bass, you need large drivers , no output at those frequencies 'etc etc the cries of the last dinosaurs .
