I have a Technics SA-700 powering 77’ Klipsch Heresy’s and being sourced by a Technics SL-Q3 and a Wiim Ultra. Someone I know is offering me a McIntosh C24 at a decent price. I’d love to add it to my lineup but the question is, is it pointless? Meaning redundant. What benefits will there be? And if I do add it, what are the best ways to add it in with the sources? There is a pre out on the Technics Amp. Thanks for any input.

That is to drive a power amp.
Adding a pre-amp to a integrated amp is simply adding a pre-amp to a pre-amp + power amp. That is equivalent to adding more distortion and noise.

Looks like you could replace the Technics pre section with the C24. Or you could cascade the two preamps if you want to be able to use a myriad of sources. But if you don't already know why you would want to add it then there is probably no good reason.

This is possible because the Technics has the ability to be used separately as a pre-amp and power amp.
The McInrosh can be connected to the main in input of the amplifier and so only the output stage of the amplifier is used.
