Sweet thread! I have the A-S801. Running it with some Monolith Encore T6 speakers! I am enjoying the rig. I listen in pure direct mode, mostly via pc to the usb connection on the amp. I also like to spin some vinyl. Just a little rig for the apartment. :)
Very nice. But are you using EQ? If not you are leaving major sound quality improvements on the table. You can install PEQ on the PC and have a major improvement in as much time as it takes to install the free software and set up the PEQ.

Not running any eq. Flat. Sounds great. I haven't really been able to crank it enough to really need eq.

PEQ is even better when playing at lower levels where the ear is not too sensitive to high and low frequencies. It helps all around but for lower listening it's a bonus.

@croseiv if you go to the Peace EQ route it will look like this.>

It's a nice amp with great features, USB input should be a standard feature if you ask me.
I have added your pics to the second post, i also had the 801 going through here, but the more the merrier.

Cheers :D

Thanks! Much appreciated.

Dear @TheBatsEar , what would you recommend me? A mint (almost unused) A-S1000 for 550€ or A-S1100 for 850€? I don't care about VU meters or standby, but sound. I had a A-S701 and was content.

If it's really just sound you want then the A-S1000. However, the price for the A-S1100 is very attractive. To me it would be worth the 300€ extra.

Danke @TheBatsEar , sound it is then, appreciate the answer. I just cannot justify 55% increase, I believe I can sell AS1000 around what I pay for if I can find an AS1200 below 1000€. Maybe then it would make sense for me.

How do you find a A-S1200 below 1000€? Teach me your magic?

BTW, welcome to ASR!:D

Sweet setup!
I would love to give the speakers a test.

I don't think we have inside pics of the R-S300 yet. I'm interested!:p

As for cleaning the inside, i use a large wall paint brush to brush everything off on the balcony.
Try to buy silver in the future, you don't see finger prints and dust as much.

I have the CD-S300 in silver. Never looked inside, cheers.

The A-S1000 for sure if you don't mind VU meters anyway. I appreciate the A-S1000 looks as it is even more understated than the others. On the other hand you can't lose with this price on the A-S1100 either as they all hold their resale value extremely well and sell quickly on the used market.

Just for your possible reference, I still use YAMAHA A-S3000 (ref. #34 on this thread ) and A-S301 (ref. #40 on this thread) in my multichannel multi-amplifier audio rig, and I recently updated and shared "the latest system setup as of August 3 2023" (ref. here post #774 on my project thread).
