In Ceiling vs. On Wall for Atmos. Thoughts?

FWIW, our first immersive system had on wall heights - because that’s what we could do in an old house with plaster ceiling. Our second has in ceiling heights, because I assumed that world be better. Our next (in progress) will have on-wall heights, because I don’t think the placement makes things worse, and we can use better loudspeakers that way.

All 7.x.4 - do not see the point of going to the expense or effort of 6 heights.

I'm not a lawyer so this is Greek to me, but it certainly seems like it could involve speaker placement.

Has to do with Auro 3D which can be done with 2 speakers and their virtualizer.
N being at least equal to two

It's a patent on their processing not where people can put speakers in their house, which couldn't be patented.

@2Sunny At this point, I think you should just place your speakers on-wall and use Auro 3D. Seems you really don't want to follow Dolby's recommendations.
