I own one the Magnavox CD players that have this DAC. I know there is better equipment these days but I am thinking it would be gratifying to improve mine but would need assistance to identify the necessary resources. My brother modified his according to the changes of Walter Jung but went beyond this and the result was very nice to listen to. Lampizator also had a solid following as well but I do not think his design changes were described completely for people to implement them. If anyone has al the information to accomplish either of these upgrades I would appreciate it if you could refer me to these. If there is a better option than these please let me know.

I don't know but is there a problem? I never heard anything wrong with my 1st CD player about 40 years ago... With electronics there is ONLY noise, frequency response, and distortion. Unless something "strange" is wrong like one channel being louder than the other or if the audio is cutting in-and-out, etc.

Walter Jung is a reputable engineer.

Did your brother make any before & after measurements? (A blind listening test is impossible without having a modified and unmodified unit.)

Concerning the Lampizator TDA1541 modifications
There is an archive blog at the bottom of his website where you can find various cd-player dac output mods
Fun diy Never seen any measurements

Lampizator != Science
I'd say that is a vast understatement!

Improving upon a TDA1541 is easy: just take basically any modern DAC, and it will outperform the old beast in every aspect. Whether that is audible will depend on the original implementation. Some are really poor, some are pretty much transparent.
