Recently someone left a comment on the setup I have, the video is old but the gear is still the same to this day,

Basically, the setup us PC >(USB) D90 >(RCA) Mini dsp > the mini dsp splits three ways, to the sub (RCA), and to two mono block amps (RCA), then each amp drives a speaker (Banana Plug cable)

I've never really thought about the setup as I enjoy how it sounds but, comment has me thinking, can I improve the setup, happy for any suggestions

Fair enough, wasn't sure if I had made a mistake and I could change something but if all good, never mind.

You could replace D90 and miniDSP with a miniDSP Flex for objectively better performance.

Will you hear it? Not sure.

yeah, was just looking at the other mini dsp stuff, a flex wont work as I need output to the a90 for headphones, I was looking at the shd power, but then, in saying that, I was thinking why am I looking at spending money for as you said something that I might not even hear, if it was going to be a major improvement then yeah, but it seems just keep with what I have.

You would need a miniDSP SHD then. Use digital out to connect to D90.

You could create different settings for loudspeaker EQ and headphone EQ - that would be a real benefit!

Investing into a second sub and learning how to use Multi-Sub Optimizer also will give you some real benefit :)
