Implementing Equaliser APO help

Installed APO and Peace to operate it, followed the installation instructions etc, but it's not having any effect; when I toggle it on / off there's no change. I'm using the Qobuz app into a JDS element 2 dac with the correct drivers etc. Screenshot of the system settings. Am at a loss as to to to do next!

because you're using exclusive mode. Exclusive mode diables any external DSP. SO you're better off not using exclusive mode or if you're picky, you have to set get a DAC/Amp with onboard DSP/Parametric EQ like the Element IV or a Topping Dx5 II

Agh yes of course should have realised that. Or buy a cheap used Wiim pro and a Fosi zh3, which is plan B, plan C is to wait for qobuz to integrate it into their app. There was a third party plugin for Spotify that did just that, but it's been disabled unfortunately.
