Immobilizing headphone amp

I've installed a Topping DX5 ii as the new digital preamp in my main stereo. The headphone jacks, really, are not going to get all that much use.

But when I do use them, the device is positioned such that it's a bit clumsy for me to hold the thing down with one hand whilst I insert the plug with the other. And the unit lacks sufficient mass to hold itself in place.

Right now, I've got some strips of double-stick tape (intended for holding carpets to floors) positioned under the DAC's feet. This only kinda works. The little domed rubbery feet don't have enough surface area contacting the tape.

Keeping a headphone amp from moving around when inserting plugs can't be a new problem. What are some better fixes I should be looking for?

This kind of clear tape is what you need.

Very strong, removable, leaves no residue, cut small pieces for under the feet.
It is kind of stretchy material with a clear plastic liner on top which has to be removed (then it becomes double sided clear sticky tape).

Museum Wax is another option.
