I'm going to need an amp for my AsciLab C6B speakers.

For some reason, I overlooked the Vibelink and, given that I like the Wiim Ultra (and that you are successfully using it with C6B speakers), it looks like a reasonable solution. I offload my bass below 80hz as well to the subwoofer, so its amplification power looks more than adequate. As a bonus, the Vibelink is in my price range too!

100 watts is adequate? Costs matter, to each is own.

Are you in the US? If so, write Dylan at Buckeye with your concerns. Being his amps ease thru 2 ohm loads I doubt if it would be a problem. Write owner Dylan at Buckeye. He's very responsive and thorough.

My "8 ohm" ELX (plugged) towers dip to about 3.2 ohms.. It's just what speakers do.

I'm in California. I will send an email to Dylan

Just to follow up, for now, I have decided to continue to rely on the 3e Audio A7. Given my near-field use, I will not spring for the large, heavy 10amp power brick and will stick with the 5 amp brick that it came with.

I purchased the A7 used for $270 (open box from Amazon; looks new in all respects). It does run hot (not burning hot but quite warm underneath), so I will get taller feet to elevate the chassis and allow more moving air underneath.

I will eventually upgrade, but it is good enough for now.

Everyone's comments have been really helpful! I am really enjoying the forums and reviews will continue to read and learn.

I am a noob but I realized I like Yamaha AB amp much more for music than Vibelink. I go back to Vibelink only when watching movies because dialog is crystal clear.
