I recorded it with my phone, then made it louder so you can hear it.
Your picture doesn't work.I just wanted to pop in and share my $45 desktop solution for iLoud MTMs:
All you need is 2 cheap microphone arms, and a 5$ bag of tension springs (the arms' stock weight limit is a bit too low).![]()
How about now?Your picture doesn't work.![]()

That's understandable. The arms seem pretty solid, but without the extra springs they had a tendency to just fall to the desk. The only time I ever broke one of these arms was by way over-tightening the adjustment knobs, which is why I went for the extra springs instead. They look good, but I don't think i'd trust cheap microphone arms to support £600 worth of monitors, whatever springs they had on them. I've had several cheap 'Anglepoise style' lamps break on me and the cheap microphone arm I own doesn't seem to be made any better. Hopefully yours are made of stronger stuff.

I'll definitely update if things go poorly.
Interesting... It looks pretty much identical to mine. If I had to guess, the difference is probably higher-tensioned springs, and a stiffer pivot where the camera mounts.I just noticed this arm that is designed to hold an SLR camera and claims to support 5lbs/2.3kg (I believe the MTMs are 2.1kg)...

Any balanced DAC (such as the modius) should work fine. The MTM's are quite sensitive, so you might want to get a passive inline xlr attenuator to help avoid clipping.hey guys, I'm almost pulling the trigger to buy those speakers, I have a question: I need a dac like the schiit modious and I'm sorted? or do I need anything else to power them?
There is an input sensitivity switch (+4dBu/-10dBV), and also an input volume control (-12dB to 0dB)—I don't see why you'd need a passive attenuator?Any balanced DAC (such as the modius) should work fine.
