Hello.. i couldnt find any answer online.. hope someone here can help..

I have trouble getting audio on my D90SE using i2s from Singxer SU1

With the help from Topping guys on the singxer SU1 pin configuration, i manage to get audio but only on DSD.. when PCM no audio at all.. when switch input to coax i got the audio properly on pcm.. any idea?

My configuration on Singxer SU1
Turn on sw1 and sw7 ( follow gustard )
Additional sw4 on ( i figure by try and error )

Configuration on D90SE is default

Sorry, but what you are doing is completely pointless.
The USB implementation in the D90SE is much newer and better/more developed than in the Singxer SU1. The SU1 is already a bit older.
What is even worse is that you are bypassing the really excellent clock and jitter reduction of the D90SE via I2S and therefore cannot achieve the great measured values of the D90SE.

If you really want to use the SU1 on the D90SE, AES or SPDIF would definitely be the better choice.

Normally the D90SE should also work with the SU1 via I2S, but there was a thread here in the forum recently with an older D70 on a DDC. Pin 16 on one side of the HDMI cable had to be taped over with a narrow piece of Kapton tape. You could try that out.

Thanks and i do appreciate the input..
yeah im doing it for the sake of fun testing as the su1 that i had was with diy regulator mod..
i love having fun with audio equipment..

About the pin16, the OP can take a look at my post https://www.audiosciencereview.com/...nts-digital-interfaces-dac.40483/post-2054847 , also read the previous post about problems relating to pin16. In my case, the problem was using smsl po 100 pro i2s out to i2s in of Topping d70. The sound was very faint. About your singxer su1 ddc, I have tried using gustard u18 at an audio shop, this one works fine. No need hdmi cable modding.

Like you, I too like to test around and I find it rewarding to find that i2s input on the d70 was functioning albeit with hdmi cable mod :)
