I've got the Truthear Zero (blue and red) and the 7Hz Zero (original). I'm a fan of foam tips (Sonicfoam at the moment) and I get a much better seal with the Truthear than the 7Hz (using large size tips). I realise that this is because I have large ear canals and the 7Hz don't go in deep enough.

Basically, can anybody recommend any other sub $150 IEMs for large ears? I'm happy with the Truthears, just exploring possibilities.

Thanks.

I have spare/unused Large & X-Large Dunu S&S ear tips , these fit on the Truthear zero and 7hz zero (I own both) but I’m a small/medium in size.

They are really big/wide, I have no use for them so if you want them drop me a pm with your address and I’ll drop them in the post this week to you if you wish to try them out.

MP145 nozzles are really wide and reasonably long.

61T Butterfly is apparently massive and has what looks like an exquisite tuning, but it is a little bit more expensive than your objective.

Hydro is really long, but the quality is subpar.

I also have big ears and I could never make Zero:2 work, no matter how many tips I bought.

Thanks for the offer but I can get a decent enough seal with Sonicfoam tips on the 7Hz. I just can't quite get the sub bass I'm getting on the Truthears and I think this is down to the shorter nozzle.

Did you get anywhere with finding alternatives? I'm similar to you, the wider Truthear nozzles work really well for me, whilst I have difficulty, even with XL tips, on other IEMs.

Letshuoer E20, Truthear Hexa fit well in my large earholes, like Truthear Zero does. 7Hz Zero has really short nozzles, lots of people have issues.

I have the Truthear Gate, Hola and Zero Red; I'll probably end up getting the Hexa also.

I've heard reports that the new Zero Blue 2 will have smaller nozzles, I hope that doesn't mark a shift in nozzle size for Truthear.

IMHO you should look not for wider nozzles (all of them are much narrower than IEM tips anyway, so this is basically irrelevant) but for longer nozzles and IEMs that can sit deeper inside the ear. Etymotic is one obvious example. Unfortunately, I can't give you an example among new popular IEMs that were tested here and showed good measurements, I've tried Zero (Blue), Zero 2, Chu II - all of them have pretty bad ergonomics and have shallow fit. Why is so difficult now to produce something like old Vsonic GR07 which seemed to have excellent fit for most ears?

I can only say that wider nozzles seem to work better for me. I've tried slimmer nozzle IEMs with both Spinfit and Moondrop XL tips, and I have difficulty getting a good seal. Whereas no issue with wider nozzle IEMs with their stock large tips.
