Hi guys :D

I would greatly appreciate it if you could help me fixing this issue.

I am the definition of "audio newbie and beginner" so please bear with me.

I just recently bought E5 XT and this is my frequency response from it. (Measured by UMIK-1)

I think there is something wrong with bass response under 100 Hz.

Is it normal? Shouldn't it be little bit higher than that? 10 more db or so?

Seriously...I don't even know where to begin..... Any thoughts?

Thanks for reading this :D

Have a nice day!

Is the low cutoff switch on the rear set to 100 hz. Looks like it by the measurements?

Thanks for the advice Blumlein 88. I just checked it and the switch is off. Just to see the difference, I actually measured it again

when the low cutoff switch is on.

And this is the result.

Well we need someone to measure another set of your speakers. So do both measure the same?

Also do you have some other speakers you could measure with your umik to show you get response below 100 hz?

The lack of room modes below 100Hz is weird... maybe that is a hint

Energy that is supposed to bounce in the room is lost somewhere. Is the window open or something. Else we might have found the best absorber in existence which is your blinds.

Here is the provided measurement overlaid with the measurement from the Polish site:

Draw your own conclusions...

Suggestion:

Move the microphone another couple of feet away from the speakers and measure again.

Move again and remeasure.

Just to see.

So looks like the measurements are correct. This speaker doesn't do much below 100 hz. You might need a subwoofer.

Ahh, I see.

It's one of those "designed to be placed on the table" speakers. Chuck those stands away.

Wow.... you are the best!! I totally underestimated the significance of the the microphone location.

somehow I changed it a bit and it became much better.

I guess I was measuring way too close to the speaker.

Thank you !!

Some nice integration with a sub, maybe digital room EQ with Dirac Live or something and that's a nice little system.

Do you have some off-axis measurements, by the way? Lots of people are curious about this speaker.

Could you kindly tell me how to check off-axis measurements?

I really mean it when I say I am a noob LOL

Can I check it with REW?

I'll definitely upload it for sure.

Sorry, I don't use REW, but that would be taking normal measurements at 15°, 30°, 45°, etc... than overlaying with 0°. It'd give us an idea for above 500 Hz.
