Hey

i was wondering if 0.6 mm or 1.0 mm diameter of the solder wire would be better for through-hole soldering on a Khadas Tone Board?

Planning to solder a USB type-B connector on it

Cheers

For thorough-hole soldering, it is mostly a matter of preference and what you are used to. I do a fair bit of SMD, so tend to use smaller diameter.

For through hole work, I'd go 1mm at least. 0.6mm solder typically means that you are feeding more solder, that takes time, and you want to be fast (component hot time should be minimised)... Also, though hole soldering uses a lot more solder.
