What say you? I suppose the absolute ideal is a point source hanging from the ceiling by a fishing line, but in the real world doesn't this come very close?

(Fujitsu Ten Eclipse)

Funky. I presume very good for dispersion, but low on cabinet volume for bass purposes and an awful lot rides on the single full range driver! The curve of the casing away from the driver surround might also be too steep to prevent certain kinds of diffraction.

Yeah, I'd definitely want them to have dual concentric drivers. And subs which aren't so sensitive to location.

About the diffraction, I hadn't really thought of that. What's the ideal form for that? I'm reminded of the DeVores (tending toward another extreme). What actually happens with their tweeter dispersion? I definitely don't know, though there does seem to be a small wave guide.

Those Devialets would look great in a modern home.
