I thought politics were off limits?

Tariffs are primarily economics, but they do obviously have political connotations. The amount of money lost in global markets recently as a result of tariffs could feed the hungry for a century (off the cuff estimate though).

Politics would be to say that the person who imposed them does not have the authority to actually do so.

The situation is a bit peculiar, there have been several attempts to start discussions that were also taking place in a civil manner but were closed by the Mods (Amir instead did not believe they should be closed). Of course I do not understand the meaning of a post addressed in this way without the possibility of discussion, if the topic can be discussed then everyone can express themselves (as long as it remains on civil tracks, of course) otherwise perhaps it would be better to avoid posts that cannot be replied to

I do understand and appreciate the perspective. If people want to participate in more politically loaded threads on audio/video forums, there is AV Forum. A word of caution is that it is UK hosted, so some US members might not appreciate it as tone is mostly set by non-us members.

If it’s not an audio related subject don’t post it
It is audio related. Many products i review will cost more than double, and some will become unavailable. Companies will go out of business, reducing options for us. Our hobby is hugely and negativity impacted.
