I’m the speaker engineer for PS and participate regularly on here and supplied the speaker samples for Erin to measure etc.In what world are GR research and PS audio the only viable options for a bookshelf speaker? These two companies are probably some of the most despised on ASR because they are known to spread lies and misinformation on a regular basis.
But looking at these things objectively:

This is not good. Linearity is poor, and directivity isn’t great either, especially vertically.
As for the GR speaker, I would expect to not be much better, although at least the tweeter is much closer to the woofer on this one:

You can get a way better speaker for less money.
If you despise people in a hobby about the enjoyment of music and “what’s best” for it, you need to put down your phone or laptop and go outside to touch grass.
The frame of the woofer is a fair bit closer than it looks to the tweeter because the driver is rear mounted.
We currently are offering a trade in discount (bringing the fr5 to $2100) and to try to get more ears on them.
Woofer and tweeter distortion are very low and these are pretty dynamic because of their large xmax and good non-linear distortion behavior .
I’m happy to answer any technical questions around these.
You’re entitled to your opinion but don’t be an ass about it.
