they are just too ugly. They sound really great though and I've been living with them for a couple of months now. But I have to admit I just can't get over their looks. Sigh.

Anyone have a nicer looking replacement suggestion but with similar flat FR as the Kalis? Either active (preferable) or passive is fine. Budget ideally <USD1k.

I use them in my small 10" x 10" office space. So I need speakers about the same size as these Kalis. Roughly 10-12" H x 6-8" wide x 8-10" D. Very near field listening. Source>> Cambridge MXN10s. Paired with REL TZero sub. Am planning to replace the MXN10s with the WiiM Ultras when they do finally get shipped out to me.

Was thinking of Ascend Acoustics Luna Mini-Monitors. The silk dome version was supposed to be launched soon. But I don't see it listed on their site yet.

Not sure if Genelec is better or worse for you in terms of aesthetics but the 8030cs do fit the size and performance ask here. You might need to get them secondhand to fit the budget tho.

Otherwise I think if you want more traditional looks Ascend is a pretty good bet.

Genelecs for me, suffer from the same aesthetic issues as the Kalis. I'm looking hard at the Neumann KH80s. They do look a bit better and also priced lower than the Genelec 8030Cs. But still not quite there in terms of desired looks.

Perhaps the KEF LSX II LT? They look pretty darn good, and measure quite well and in your price range
Yes! That's a good option. Thanks. Looking at it.
