I bought GiK panels works really well

Sorry I misunderstood I thought the waterfall measurement was after correction.
The other guy wanted to se before and after GIK panels :)

I did not measure the after correction because i got lazy :) i have tried this a couple of times before now i moved the speaker and MLP and added the GiK panels .

I did several before and after measurements the last time and concluded that the prediction in REW is really good , hence why I'm lazy, so i use the QE menu in rew make the adjustments look at the curve , and then make that correction my real correction .

But hmm i should look again at 95hz as could maybe adjust even moore ? As the waterall is after prediction ? :) I should check against against the filters i have ?

So the waterfall is indeed with the (predicted) correction?
If it measures that way, then I would remove that ringing peak so that it does no longer stick out of the slope (@t=0). Probably even a bit more, because once you know what to listen for, you can't unlisten it anymore.

To get rid of a placebo effect, you could take mixes that do not sound good now, but that seem to really suffer from that 95 Hz ringing and reduce the 95 more than the measurement suggests and learn the difference. There should be less bass but you should notice that the sound becomes less fatigueing and the problematic notes or kicks will no longer stick out.
When you hear what to listen for, then you can add more of the 95 back until there's a good compromise between the reduced ringing and more equally loud notes.
And once you hear what's going on, trust your ears: if it sounds better with everything, and if the measurement shows a peak or a dip, then ignore the measurement, because that dip or peak is only one single aspect and says i.e. nothing about the behaviour in the time domain (which is more important anyway).

I'm not exactly sure , i probably drag out the measurment equipment once more :) subjectively I'm not concerned right now . but ican fiddel with the EQ real time .

Well of course i presented the waterfall wrong :) and my actual 94,2 hz gain was diffrent . The other large peak is the 48.1 hz...

I did some minor adjustments right now , it easy to get to obsessive. It’s not only listening rooms that have bad bass some studio control rooms and monitors to historically ! The circle of confusion seems to especially bad in bass , recordings are all over the place too .

Luckily one can save a whole array of eq presets with more or less bass shelf

I have 4x 6" (4" insulation) GIK bass panels and 3x 4" (2" insulation) panels from many years ago. In my current room, with lots of furniture and bookshelves, I ended up only keeping the panels behind the TV (partly for sound absorption to reduce sound going into room/office on the other side). I had the 6" bass panels behind my speakers but removed them after comparing some measurements and preferring "without" (they had reduced bass energy in a few places and created pretty deep dip). On the right side I decided to put a chair by the wall and on the left side I put my big bookshelves from a different room, and ended up not needing panels at those 1st reflection points. My RT60 is 300ms across most frequencies.

My couch is maybe 40-45% into the room (I think room is 14-15' wide and 22-24' deep) and rear wall is window/blinds. Overall sound is really good with a 7.1.2 setup, lots of 2.1 music listening.

@Mnyb please post pictures!

Now I'm currently nearing completion of a home theater project in my basement, and since I've had a positive experience with the Alpha panels in my office, I decided to go the same route with a fleet of 6" thick alpha panels in the theater, along with a bunch of the GIK monster traps (7.3" thick). A total of 27 panels was ordered for $5,500 before tax/shipping. All of the panels are Charcoal fabric, and the alpha panels all have black scatter plates.
I thought I'd drop back into this thread with a small update on my large order with GIK. On Friday I got a coupon code from them for FREE shipping. My acoustic panel order with them is currently in production, and also delayed by a week or so due to an equipment issue. Shipping charges were over $1k, so I was feeling like I was missing out on this deal big time. On Friday evening I emailed GIK with the coupon code, explained my FOMO and that I understand coupon codes aren't generally honored retroactively (I asked nicely), and in return they immediately refunded my shipping charges first this this morning when they got my email: $1,257.

I'd placed my order back at the end of January, and it's probably within a week of shipping at this point. They didn't need to honor a free shipping code that came out a month after I ordered, but they did. I am really impressed with GIKs customer service here, being willing to refund all of my shipping charges! I'll post an update in here after they come (I'll take before/after measurements), but for now I'm quite impressed with their customer service.

I bought a few tri-corner traps a few years ago from GIK. They were decent enough. Never had any issues with them. When I redid my room, I had an idea to place them on top of the speakers and wedge them between 2 wall mounted traps. Wasn't really expecting them to do all that much.

They actually did quite a bit and ended up fixing a few issues in the 120-160hz region. Was quite surprised by how well they actually worked.
