Good morning. So I have bought a Clio Pocket that I have been looking at for many years. I got $100.00 off. My wife thinks I lost my mind for buying the Clio pocket and the microphone stand for Clio and the regulator Microphone Stand. I know it’s not like the big buck systems but, this is really All I can afford right now. I do have the Dayton Audio Dats LA version. Not impressed with the size or weight of the product. Plus I have to buy a case to take it to places if need to help anyone out with speaker driver issues? The Clio Pocket is small lite and has a measuring microphone as well. The only down side is the clio has to get warm and then the blue light in front turns on. It’s about a 20 minute await. A excuse to get an another cup of coffee, Other than that everything else installed very nicely . Am not computer tech savvy but, it did take me a little while to figure it out and being a Mr. Fix it maintenance man most of my life. . Am kinda boom smart but, more of a hands on visual kinda guy for learning. I bought this because I don’t trust any manufacturers T/S these days. (Am hoping I didn’t offend anyone here?). Also I want to test the Inductor’s values I get or I have to make if needed to. I would use it for testing the wire am using for its in inductance as well. ( The original woofer tester did this as well as the woofer tester #2 I had awhile ago) from Smith and Larson. I think the Clio Pocket is going to fit in well with my my expectations. Well let me know what you think? Be safe. Jeff

I need to get a handle on room mode diagnostics and corrections. Been putting it off for decades and I have the nagging feeling that it would make a major improvement in my listening enjoyment if I could figure it out. And now that I am retired I do spend a lot of hours listening...

I was told by a really good Audiophile friend that starting with the room treatment makes a big difference and improvement in how your speakers and sound system sounds. Most People switch out cables and plugs and equipment not starting with the obvious the room echoes and dead spots. I hope your system gets to a better level of enjoyment after you (if you do) treat your room. I don’t have a room right now. I have a family member using it right now. Good Luck. Jeff

Please share your insights and experience as you learn to make improvements using your CLIO. Not that I will be buying one though; too steep for me being retired and putting the kid through college...

I managed to fire up my 25yrs Clio which uses ISA card - kind of frustrating going back to Win98 and DOS. If it's not going to perform well, as the hardware might have its temperamental issues due age, I will have to look for something newer and Clio Pocket ticks the boxes. I be glad if you can share your thoughts: good and bad. My friend still has the Smith and Larson, and some other really fancy system, but my needs Clio Lite, REW or ARTA is quite sufficient.
What I like about Clio is that once set up, calibrated, warmed up, it's very much ready to go, and it will always measure with the correct Mic sensitivity and card input level. For REW or ARTA, I have to first set up Clio to set proper level on the interface and Windows mixer. Way too much fiddling around.

As for manufacturers T/S data, yeah, SB, Seas and other drivers were very much off, I guess 10% is industry standard, but 30-40% that's out of my comfort zone to assume they reliable (spider compliance and motor not being fully saturated?)
