as an aside, whenever I think of gutta-percha, I can't help but think of Terry-Thomas in a pith helmet... even though the mental image that the material conjures up has nothing to do with gutta-percha or pith helmets.

To wit: Terry-Thomas, above, not wearing a pith helmet, in It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.

Oh, and while we are, perhaps inexplicably, speaking of gutta-percha.
