I don't think it is arguing for the sake of arguing. It reaffirms the 'thing' under consideration which is quite distinct from music and sound although we often confuse signal with music and sound. It reaffirms that we are working with a developed technology that is these days well beyond simple and intuitive. It reaffirms that it is all too easy to get off track in both discussions and technological applications into spectacle and the 'flavored.' The signal is not beauty. And the source surely is not beauty but practical and real. As I've said before, science is not natural to us and takes a continuing attention to pull off. On this website I often find posts that are impressively well stated.

Sounds awesome. How is it different?
I can't say I hear any difference until it gets excessively loud, then it gets excessively louder (ok with me). Primarily done to replace the Nilai 2 channel and a mono NCx500 that feed the LCR channels. Space constraints, now only 1 amp and same levels across the front. If I had another 2 channel system, I would keep the Nilai for it. My old amps are in the for sale forum.

IC... Nice upgrade. What finish?

I assume you mean amp color? Std black, its not an eyepiece for me (I have a Buckeye 4 channel NC502 for sides/rears and will likely do a 4 channel NC252 for heights when I finally get there).

Yes, the black is silent and deadly...LoL. j/k. Some of the available finishes are pretty nice. I like anodizing. I thought there was a anodizing option there before?

Hate to think I hear any difference at normal volume levels... I doubt there are any, but the upper mids and highs seem slightly more pronounced.... sounds great either way.

I'm not sure what kind of amp/power you had before but is this amp orders better in overall power output and low Z output?

As mentioned, replaced Nilia stereo DIY amp, after a few hours+ I touched the top of this amp, way hotter than the Nilai, measured at 112 degrees F. Never measured the mono NCx500 (VTV) that ran the center channel...... never measured the Nilai, it was never hot enough to concern me.

Is it hot when quiescent? (Sitting there doing nothing.)

While I totally support the relocation, and think it is appropriate, I wish there was some pointer/link to where the discussion moved to...

Just received my Buckeye 3 channel NCx500, blasting music and enjoying the mild increase in power over the Nilai it replaced (2 channel).

:)
I have ordered the same - waiting to see it in post soon. I have the two channel built by Apollon with SI 997 opamp. Will be nice to compare the two build .
