Hypex Announces New and Improved NCOREx Class-D Amplifier Technology

I guess these are meant:

Audiophonics are notoriously slow with their website updates, there's a chance it's all NCx already. Although I bet the poweramps sell better, so the integrated ones getting updated last would make sense for them.

I'm not sure how much audiophile this forum is but i reckon you like to build and play with stuff. It's strange for me that there is not many people who want less clutter but also something good and basic. The current audiophonics da-s250nc and the cheaper one has everything that i need and nothing that i don't. Minimalism at it's best. Except since ncx is out now I want thew new stuff just because it's new.
I contacted audiophonics by email and they said they have no intention of upgrading current integrated units to ncx since demand is not really there. Shame.

For something minimalistic I would choose a streamer like the Fosi S3 and a separate NCoreX power amp like NCx252MP with XLR inputs. Even more minimalistic than that then we are talking about all-in-one active speakers like KEF LS50 Wireless, but that is not my preference. Personally I find an integrated amplifier like this to be too restrictive.

Another option : The IOM Ultra (based on NCX252MP module) is purpose-built to perfectly match the WiiM Ultra streamer.
This is obviously an option for design purists.

Nice! I had forgotten about IOM Ultra, looks awesome with the WiiM Ultra, even better than their own Vibelink Amp.

These days most use a streamer (like WiiM Ultra) and a power amp (like the NCx252MP) as minimalist setup. Integrated amps are or very classic models, or not used anymore. Because with a integrated amp like the DA-S250NC, you still need to add a streamer, that probally has a volume controll, and in the case from the Wiim, you can even connect a turntable and so, as it's de facto also a preamp and dac.

Analog input, or the lack thereof, is definitely making or breaking the deal for many. Even when your streamer/DAC doesn't have it as most don't, if poweramp is seperate it's easy and cheap to add with a switch and/or passive monitor controller or something. Wouldn't wanna lose options by an all in one amp without any.
